AlternaTour^™ brand disc golf events arose as a result of seasoned competitive players reminiscing about the “good ole days” of tournaments and how they just are not as fun as they used to be. In addition to the memories of the past, the current trend of high entrance fees and low payouts make it hard to justify spending the money required to participate in most events unless you are a top level, constantly cashing Pro…which very few of us are.

AlternaTour^™ events focus on the things that got us started in the game in the first place: fun and friendship.

     The tournament directors are encouraged to employ formats that are less “traditional” and think of ways that EVERYBODY can enjoy the game that we all love. If the event is multiple days, onsite camping will be provided when available. AlternaTour^™ events will also have food and live music whenever possible to make each weekend a true, affordable, disc golf vacation!
